My experience was an excellent one. There were ups and downs along the way but this experience will allow me to move even closer ahead in my career in the Hospitality Industry. I loved the atmosphere that I worked in from being in Housekeeping to Front Desk time. I must say that I have seen the improvement in my personal and professionaldevelopment as it comes on to dealing with people and the overall job. I am eternally grateful for the e xtra push from Your agency to develop and grow into the individual I want to be in the future. June 2018 I left Trinidad to begin an internship with Hilton, Austin for one year. I got this splendid opportunity through TT Work and Travel.The application process was quick and easy, and I got many offers to start an internship in the US. I ultimately chose the Hilton to begin my internship career. Getting my visa was a fast and painless process and was helped by TTIWEA, in filling out all the information. enjoyed my stay in Texas and met many wonderful people, including other J1’s. I learnt a lot during my time in the kitchen, experiencing different aspects that the Hilton’s kitchen had to offer. I worked hard, and eventually won employee of the month for Heart of the House!I saw a lot of what America had to offer during my stay by visiting the Grand Canyon, Colorado and New York!I encourage anyone wanting to experience the USculture and gaining valuable work and life experience to jump at the opportunities that TTIWEA has to offer.
